MEET US AT THE BRIDGE

Together we can make a difference.

The first Meet Us at the Bridge (MUATB) took place in October 2005.

This event has two purposes:

  1. Recognize individuals and groups in the community who use their time and talents to combat domestic violence

  2. Honor those who have lost their lives to domestic violence in the last year.

Meet Us at the Bridge is held in October during Domestic Violence Awareness Month and is typically held on a Saturday at 9:00 a.m. on the west side of the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge. There will be free parking available to event attendees in Nissan Stadium Lot R.

Our 2024 event will be held on October 5th at 8:30 am. Please join us!

In 2024, The Nashville Coalition Against Domestic Violence is hosting the 20th Anniversary of “Meet Us at the Bridge”

Meet Us At the Bridge is an annual ceremony to remember victims of domestic violence and honor those working to end it. Purple roses will be dropped from the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge by family members of domestic violence homicide victims. Since the event began in 2005, 191 women, children, and men have been remembered at the Bridge ceremony. The family members of the nine most recent homicide victims will recognize their loved ones on the first Saturday in October.
