COMMUNITY LUNCHEON

The community luncheon began in 2009 as a forum to engage other agencies outside of NCADV meetings to discuss issues and/or gaps in services for domestic violence victims. 

Throughout the years, domestic violence agencies from surrounding areas and agencies that recognize the populations they serve are impacted by domestic violence have attended the event.  The forum also sponsored the opening of the Jean Crowe Advocacy Center in 2014.  In 2015, the Community Luncheon introduced the Visionary Award to recognize exceptional leadership in the work to eradicating domestic violence.

Jean Crowe was the recipient of the Visionary Award in 2015 and therefore, the award has been named after her.
